Job summary

A forward-thinking tech company in Swansea is seeking a Test Lead to establish a new testing function in a hybrid role. You will design the testing strategy and manage end-to-end testing processes, including automation. Ideal candidates will have strong manual testing experience, excellent communication skills, and familiarity with Azure DevOps. Qualifications

Test Lead - Greenfield Opportunity
Salary: Up to £42,000 per annum plus benefits
Location: Swansea (hybrid, 2 days per week in the office)

We are looking for a Test Lead to help shape a brand new testing function as part of a large digital transformation programme.

This is a true greenfield role where you will design the test strategy, build testing processes, coordinate releases and work closely with project managers, trainers, communications teams and infrastructure to ensure smooth and safe deployments.

What you will do
  • Lead end-to-end testing across multiple projects, including manual testing and future automation
  • Create test plans, testing processes and release checklists
  • Manage go-live readiness and provide post-release support
  • Work collaboratively across the organisation to support the transformation programme
What we are looking for
  • Experience as a Test Lead, Senior Tester, QA Engineer or Release Lead
  • Strong manual testing experience, with some exposure to automation being an advantage
  • Confident communicator able to define testing approaches from the ground up
  • Experience working in hybrid environments; familiarity with Azure DevOps is beneficial
