Job summary

Comxps Ltd invites applicants for a test engineering contracting role for a Government Client in Wiltshire, with 4 days on site per week. The position requires strong experience in test planning, execution, and reporting, plus documentation and evidence packs.

You will perform functional, non-functional, integration, and regression testing, support validation activities, and work within Agile or structured delivery environments.

Qualifications

• Experience in test planning, scripting, execution, and reporting.
• Experience producing test documentation including plans, scripts, procedures and defect/test reports.
• Experience performing functional, non-functional, integration, and regression testing.
• Experience supporting validation and acceptance activities in complex environments.
• Understanding of systems integration testing and end-to-end service validation.
• Knowledge of IAM concepts, authentication, authorization, and RBAC.
• Understanding of PKI, certificates, and trust mechanisms.
• Experience testing in secure or regulated environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage changing priorities in Agile or structured delivery environments.

Contract Length: 01/10/2026 – 31/03/2028 (A total of 318days based on this start date. 108days until 31/03/2027 and 210days from 01/04/2027 – 31/03/2028)

Essential Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

• Strong experience in test engineering, including test planning, test script development, test execution, and reporting.
• Experience producing test documentation including test plans, test scripts, test procedures, defect reports, test reports, and evidence packs.
• Experience performing functional, non-functional, integration, and regression testing.
• Experience supporting validation and acceptance activities within complex enterprise or infrastructure environments.
• Understanding of systems integration testing and end-to-end service validation.
• Experience testing infrastructure, networking, security, or identity management solutions.
• Knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM) concepts including authentication, authorisation, and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
• Understanding of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), digital certificates, and certificate-based trust mechanisms.
• Experience supporting testing within secure or regulated environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage changing priorities and work to project timelines.
• Experience working within Agile or structured delivery environments.
• Competency in MS Office Suite.
