Job summary

Redline Group Ltd. seeks a Test Engineer for Value Analysis & Value Engineering based in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. The role focuses on reducing product costs while maintaining performance and coordinating validation projects for existing and new products.

You will design and execute test plans, develop test jigs, analyze results and write reports, working across electronics, software, and mechanical systems in a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Hands-on engineering experience in multi-disciplinary teams.
• Experience making test jigs and running validation is advantageous but not required.
• Ability to adapt, build and validate industrial components and prototypes.
• Appreciation of software, electronics, and mechanical engineering, including system integration and reading mechanical drawings.

My client, a leading global business operating in Coding and Marking solutions, are seeking a Test Engineer- Value Analysis & Value Engineering, based in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire.

The ideal Test Engineer- Value Analysis & Value Engineering, based in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire will be responsible for driving product cost reduction without sacrificing performance. Other responsibilities will include setting up and running a variety of technical validation projects for existing and new products and the jobholder is responsible for setting up, running and evaluating all the verification aspects of experiments in a safe environment. This includes developing test plans/scripts, setting up test jigs, analysing data, and writing up reports.

This is a challenging and stimulating engineering role working across a variety of different physical materials, electrical/mechanical components, software, high voltages, pressures, and flammable liquids.

The successful Test Engineer- Value Analysis & Value Engineering, based in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire will have:

• An Electronics Engineering qualification and proven 'hands-on' engineering in multi-disciplinary teams
• Specific prior experience making test jigs and running the validation aspects of engineering projects is advantageous but not critical
• Ability to adapt, build and validate industrial components and prototypes
• Appreciation of software, electronics, and mechanical engineering is very useful, including sophisticated system integration requiring analytical skills, problem-solving, and ability to read mechanical drawings
