Job summary

A leading retail company in Swansea is seeking a Shift Leader to manage store operations during shifts. The role involves coordinating the team to ensure excellent customer service and store standards. Candidates must be over 18 and capable of leading a fast-paced environment. Job description
Availability Window

The following times are the availability windows we request for this role. We will schedule your contracted hours within these periods and provide you with three weeks' notice for your shifts.

  • Sun: 22:00–08:00
  • Thu: 22:00–08:00
  • Fri: 22:00–08:00
  • Sat: 22:00–08:00

Our Shift Leader rate of pay starts from £14.76 per hour, increasing to £15.97 for stores inside the M25.

Night Premium – for hours worked between midnight and 6 am you receive an additional £2.35 per hour. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.

We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week. You may choose to work fewer hours (down to a minimum of 12) if you prefer.

Responsibilities
  • Work in a fast‑paced retail environment, with bags of variety.
  • Take ownership of running duty shifts, coordinating the team to deliver a clean, well‑stocked store that exceeds customer expectations.
  • Be there for customers, listening to them and helping to make sure they leave the store with what they came for.
  • Look for ways to improve service, including coaching your colleagues and giving feedback to the team.
  • Guide and support your colleagues in‑store, making sure it stays a safe place to work and shop.
  • Maintain a great understanding of how your store is performing, and assist managers in delivering any actions that help improve the running of the store.
  • Lead from the front, and set a great example for your colleagues in everything you do.
