Availability Window

We require you to be available during the following times: Tuesday 10:00–19:00, Thursday 13:00–22:15, Friday 13:00–22:15, Saturday 10:00–19:00. You will receive 3‑week notice of your scheduled shifts.

Our Shift Leader rate of pay starts from £14.76 an hour; this increases to £15.97 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.

We provide a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, with the option to work fewer hours (minimum 12). If your required hours differ slightly from the advertised windows, we still encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work in a fast‑paced retail environment, managing a diverse team of staff.
  • Take ownership of running duty shifts, coordinating the team to deliver a clean, well‑stocked store that exceeds customer expectations.
  • Be present for customers, listening to them and ensuring they leave with what they came for.
  • Identify opportunities to improve service, coaching colleagues and providing constructive feedback.
  • Guide and support colleagues in‑store, ensuring a safe place to work and shop.
  • Maintain a clear understanding of store performance and assist managers in delivering actions to improve operations.
  • Lead from the front and set a great example for all team members.
  • Coordinate store improvements and remove obstacles to deliver exceptional service.
  • Support managers in coordinating seasonal, community and charity events.
  • Provide excellent customer service by listening to customers and putting them first.
  • Keep the team well‑informed and up to speed on communications, changes, or updates.
  • Follow health and safety routines and procedures.
  • Recognise and celebrate colleagues providing great service.
  • Be a confident decision maker, comfortable handling change and ensuring all decisions are right for customers and colleagues.
  • Stay motivated, inspire the team to go beyond expectations, and remain curious to continually improve for customers and the planet.
