Pay and Hours
Rate of pay starts from £14.76 per hour, increasing to £15.97 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may apply depending on location. New colleagues are offered a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, with a minimum of 12 hours for part‑time options.

Responsibilities
- Work in a fast‑paced retail environment, with a great variety of products.
- Take ownership of running duty shifts, coordinating the team to deliver a clean, well‑stocked store that exceeds customer expectations.
- Be there for customers, listening and ensuring they leave with what they need.
- Look for ways to improve service, including coaching colleagues and giving feedback.
- Guide and support colleagues in‑store, keeping the workplace safe for everyone.
- Maintain a clear understanding of store performance and assist managers in delivering actions that improve store operations.
- Lead from the front, setting a great example for the team.
- Coordinate the store team to deliver a fuss‑free shopping experience.
- Support colleagues, ensuring they deliver daily priorities and take regular breaks.
- Open and close the store, completing duty cover and ensuring decisions made are right for everyone's safety.
- Serve as the go‑to person for colleagues when the manager is absent, handling day‑to‑day queries.
- Keep the store clean, tidy and well‑presented.
- Support managers with seasonal, community and charity events.
- Contribute to a positive team atmosphere that is inclusive of everyone.
- Provide excellent customer service, listening and putting customers first.
- Keep the team well informed on communications, changes and updates.
- Stay knowledgeable about store performance, simplifying operations where possible.
- Coordinate store improvements, removing obstacles to outstanding service.
- Follow health and safety routines and procedures, ensuring all colleagues do the same.
- Recognise and celebrate colleagues who provide great service.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- Be a great role model, always delivering thoughtful customer service that meets every customer's needs.
- Build strong, long‑lasting relationships with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive team atmosphere.
- Be a clear communicator, comfortable using various methods to keep the team well informed and up to date.
- Be comfortable taking the lead and overseeing the store in the absence of your manager.
- Be a good decision maker, flexible in thinking and comfortable handling change.
- Be motivating, able to inspire the team to deliver beyond expectations.
- Be curious, always on the lookout for ideas and opportunities to serve customers, communities, and the planet better each day.
