About the role

Availability windows: Sunday 07:00–11:30, Tuesday 05:30–12:00, Thursday 05:30–09:00, Saturday 17:30–20:30. Tesco offers a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week, with flexibility to work fewer hours (minimum 12). Your shifts will be scheduled within these times with three weeks notice.

Responsibilities
  • Know our customers and serve them with passion and pride, giving great natural service.
  • Be passionate and knowledgeable about the products and services in your store.
  • Work across the store in service, picking and replenishment areas as required.
  • Apply training to work safely, effectively, and serve customers brilliantly.
  • Make decisions that are right for customers, delivering routines that meet their needs at the right time.
  • Participate in seasonal, community and charity events, creating an inclusive atmosphere.
  • Understand your store’s performance, contributing to service and sales success, reducing waste and shrink, and delivering profit.
  • Handle products with care to maintain quality.
  • Live our values, make everyone feel welcome, and always follow policies.
  • Accept deliveries into the store, when required.
Requirements

  • Build rapport with customers, ensuring they leave with a great shopping trip.
  • Take initiative and make decisions right for customers.
  • Work well within a team and communicate openly with others.
  • Build relationships with colleagues to create team spirit.
