Job summary

Tesco UK is hiring for in-store colleagues across our network. You’ll work as part of a friendly team, delivering great service and helping customers with a smile.

Roles offer guaranteed hours and flexible shift patterns to fit your life, with a starting hourly rate of £13.28 and potential to rise to £14.55 in certain stores. We guarantee a minimum of 16 hours per week, with some locations offering 12 hours.

Qualifications

• Providing friendly, natural service and getting to know your customers.
• Being confident with our products and services and offering help when needed.
• Providing flexible support across the store, including shelf replenishment, checkout service, online order picking, occasional delivery assistance, and general service and replenishment duties.
• Making customer focused decisions and completing key store routines.
• Understanding how your role supports great service, strong sales, waste reduction and overall store performance.
• To be over 18 for this role.
• A passion for delivering great service, greeting customers with a smile, and serving them with pride.
• To build rapport so customers leave having had a great experience.
• To use your initiative and make the right decisions for customers.
• To work well in a team and communicate openly, having fun, and celebrating success.

Tesco Colleague pay starts at £13.28 per hour, rising to £14.55 in stores within the M25. Some locations may offer additional payments.

We guarantee a minimum of 16 hours per week, though roles from 12 hours are also available. Your contracted hours will be scheduled within the availability windows shown, with at least 3 weeks’ notice of your shifts.
