Territory Sales Manager – Responsibility & Qualifications

Responsibilities
- Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets for the PRO PLAN and PPVD brands through effective management of existing accounts and acquisition of new business.
- Drive new clinic conversion numbers in line with target clinics and clinical groups agreed with the Field Sales Manager, using well‑developed sales and negotiation skills.
- Meet KPIs for Strategic Plan focus areas, including new product development and in‑clinic initiatives.
- Effectively manage customer relationships through an optimised contact and visit strategy, ranging from routine visits and quarterly reviews to staff training, category relays, and advocacy days.
- Maintain a high level of technical product knowledge to facilitate conversations with all levels of practice staff.
- Deliver tailored training to practice requirements, achieving sales and recommendation objectives.
- Understand customer strategy, competitor activity and create awareness internally to feed the channel business planning process.
- Develop and implement jointly agreed Customer Business Plans to achieve targets in line with Channel strategy, delivering excellent execution of key sales fundamentals.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proactive nature with commercial awareness and excellent numeracy skills.
- Business development experience essential.
- Veterinary channel experience is beneficial.
- Knowledge of companion animals or the pet industry is beneficial.
- Highly proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office programs.
- IT literate with strong analytical capabilities.
- Organised and adept at planning and prioritising workloads.
- Ability to travel within the designated geographical territory.
- Strong commercial acumen and a proven track record of delivering new business wins.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to adapt communication style to a broad range of decision makers.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: up to £35,000 depending on experience, plus a company car, potential bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
