Job summary

DPD UK, part of Geopost, is recruiting a Territory Sales Executive to drive new business across the region including Dunstable. You will cold-call and door-knock to attract and develop new accounts, aiming to meet revenue targets in line with the company's strategy.

Key tasks include prospect funnel development, early account handover, regular trading opportunities, and delivering planned visits each week, while upholding DPD's values and standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in a sales or similar environment with a tenacious attitude.
• Outstanding communication, persuading and influencing skills.
• Ability to focus on customers to understand their needs and gain commitment.
• Full UK driving licence essential.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop a personal prospect funnel large enough to fund new business targets.
• Monitor new customers to ensure they trade to an agreed profile and take corrective action if needed.
• Hand over all new accounts to Customer Care or CRM Account Manager within eight weeks.
• Identify and pursue regular trading opportunities daily and weekly.
• Champion the partnership process with new prospects wherever possible.
• Achieve 12 brand-new prospect visits per week.
• Meet portfolio product targets as laid down by the company.
• Obtain all documentation required to process a credit facility to ISO standards.

• Salary:Up to £37,504.80 depending on experience, plus commission, company car or car allowance, laptop and mobile

• Days of Work:Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:30

Job Description

We are actively recruiting for an ambitious and motivatedTerritory Sales Executive to join and strengthen our team of skilled sales people.

As a Territory Sales Executive your primary responsibility will be to achieve the company’s revenue target for new business in line with the company’s strategy for customer size, type and service mix. Cold Calling and “door knocking” is an essential part of this role to attract and develop new business.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

• Identifying and developing a ‘personal prospect funnel’ sufficient in size to fund both DPD & DPD Local new business targets as laid down in the company’s strategic plan
• Monitoring performance of new customers to ensure they trade to an agreed profile. Agree and deliver action plans if variances occur
• Successfully handover all new accounts to either the Customer Care Team or relevant CRM Account Manager by the end of the first eight weeks of trade
• Identifying and pursuing regular trading opportunities on a daily and weekly basis
• To champion the “partnership process” wherever possible with any new prospects
• Achieving productivity targets. This will include 12 brand new prospect visits each week
• Achieving all portfolio product targets as laid down by the company
• Obtaining all the correct documentation required to process a credit facility to ISO standard

Your career history will clearly be able to evidence success within a sales or similar environment and a tenacious attitude and drive to succeed in a fast paced sales environment.

Your outstanding communication, persuading and influencing skills will be fully utilised in this role as will your ability to focus on your customers to fully understand their needs and gain their commitment.
