Territory Manager : South East

We are recruiting for an experienced Territory Manager to join a well:established UK commercial landscaping and grounds:maintenance business. This is a senior operational role responsible for managing a substantial portfolio of blue:chip contracts and leading multiple grounds:maintenance teams across the South East.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a team of direct and subcontracted grounds:maintenance teams.
- Oversee the delivery of multi million contracts.
- Lead, motivate and develop mobile operational teams.
- Manage subcontractor performance and ensure agreed standards are maintained.
- Build strong relationships with blue:chip clients and site contacts.
- Ensure services are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with contract requirements.
- Monitor quality, productivity, performance and customer satisfaction.
- Support workforce planning, resource allocation and operational problem:solving.
- Review budgets, costs, contract performance and potential additional works.
- Identify service issues and implement effective corrective action.
- Work closely with the Head of South and wider operational and commercial teams.
- Ensure compliance with company health:and:safety and operational procedures.
About You
You will ideally have management experience within one of the following sectors:
- Commercial grounds maintenance.
- Landscaping or horticulture.
- Arboriculture or external services.
- Facilities management or soft services.
- Highways, highways maintenance or another mobile field:service environment.
You Should Also Have
- Experience managing multiple teams across a large geographical area.
- Experience managing both employed staff and subcontractors.
- Strong client:management and communication skills.
- Good commercial awareness and an understanding of contract performance.
- Excellent organisation and planning ability.
- A practical and proactive approach to operational management.
- The confidence to manage performance and resolve customer issues.
- A full UK driving licence and the flexibility to travel throughout the territory.
