Job summary

Outwood Academy Hemsworth is seeking a Teaching Assistant to work 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term-time plus 5 days. You will support teachers by implementing learning activities and providing essential academic and welfare support to individuals and small groups.

You will assist with SEND and EAL students, help develop individual plans, and contribute to a safe, supportive classroom environment. Training and progression opportunities are available within OGAT.

Qualifications

• Experience working effectively in a school environment or with children and young people.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work flexibly to meet business needs.
• Proficiency in using standard ICT packages (including Microsoft Office) and maintaining confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Implement planned learning activities and support teachers in monitoring student progress.
• Support students with SEND or EAL and assist in developing individual plans.
• Assist with social and emotional well-being, supervision on visits and examinations.
