Job summary

St Peter's School requires a Catering Assistant to join the Catering Department. The role runs 8.30am-2.30pm, Monday to Friday, term time only (34 weeks), with a pro rata salary of £14,647 per annum on the Support Scale, Point 1.

The post holder will assist in preparing meals, serving, cleaning, and maintaining high food hygiene standards. They will work under the Catering Manager, ensuring supplies and equipment are ready for service and that health and safety policies are followed.

Qualifications

• Assist in preparing the kitchen and dining hall for mealtime service.
• Serve food to staff and pupils and liaise with the kitchen for supplies.

Responsibilities

• Clean all areas of the kitchen, dining rooms, dishwasher and other areas as detailed.
• Assist with the preparation of meals.
• Report accidents, damage or breakages to the Chef.
• Assist in daily food safety checks and hygiene tasks.
