Job summary

Elior UK is seeking a General Assistant to support day-to-day operations at school sites during term time. You’ll help with cleaning, stock handling and customer service to ensure smooth daily routines. The role supports colleagues across the site and requires a flexible, reliable approach and a DBS check for shortlisted candidates.

Term-time pattern: five days out of seven. You will work on-site, with meals provided, and opportunities to grow within our catering teams across the UK.

Qualifications

• DBS check required for shortlisted candidates.
• Term-time availability and flexible working patterns.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Willingness to undertake varied tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with general cleaning, maintenance and tidying.
• Support team members with duties as required.
• Help with receipt, storage and distribution of supplies.
• Operate basic machinery or tools safely under supervision.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workspace.
• Follow health and safety guidelines and company policies.
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients or visitors.
