Job summary

Vertas is looking for a dedicated Food Service Assistant to join our Catering Team at Retford Oaks High School in Retford, Nottinghamshire. The role is 17.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 11:00 - 14:30, term time only for 39 weeks of the year, at £12.71 per hour.

You will assist with meal preparation, serve meals, maintain hygiene, and provide friendly, professional customer service. The position requires an Enhanced DBS check and compliance with safeguarding procedures; pre-employment checks

Qualifications

• Proactive and flexible approach to work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous catering or food service experience preferred but not essential.
• Enhanced DBS check is required.
