Job summary

Whitley Park Primary and Nursery School is seeking a friendly Lunchtime Controller to supervise pupils during lunch break and support a safe, enjoyable dining and play environment. This term-time role offers predictable hours and a chance to contribute to children's wellbeing in a busy school setting.

You will supervise activities, encourage good manners, assist younger pupils, and help promote the school's values while ensuring safety and engagement throughout lunch periods.

Qualifications

• Experience with children is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Supervising children in the dining hall, playground and around the school.
• Supporting children aged 2–11 years.
• Encouraging good manners and positive behaviour.
• Supporting play activities and helping to organise lunchtime experiences.
• Assisting younger pupils with opening lunch items.
• Promoting the school’s values and ensuring safety and wellbeing of all children.
