Job summary

Salford Council is seeking a General Assistant to support the Cook Supervisor in delivering healthy meals for children. The role includes setting up dining rooms, serving food, washing up and basic food preparation.

The position is permanent and term-time only, offering 7.5 hours per week with hours Mon–Fri 11:30am–1:00pm. Applicants should be eligible to work in the UK and consent to a DBS check. Salary is competitive with pension and other benefits.

Qualifications

• DBS check required for this role
• Right to work in the UK must be shown at interview
• Experience in a school/nutrition setting is beneficial

Responsibilities

• Assist the Cook Supervisor in providing healthy meals for children
• Set up dining rooms and help with serving of food
• Wash up and clean dining areas
• Assist with basic food preparation as needed
