Job summary

Sandwich Infant School in Kent is seeking a highly skilled Teaching Assistant for a one-year contract from September 2026 to July 2027. The role covers 32.5 hours per week, term time only, from 8:30am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday, with pay under Kent Scheme A (£26,168.00 per year, pro rata for part time).

You will support learning for infant age children, lead groups and individuals, and respond to pupils' needs with guidance from the teacher, contributing to an inclusive, nurturing ethos.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Level 3 Teaching and Learning qualification.
• Ability to reflect our nurturing, positive and inclusive ethos.
• English and Maths GCSE at grade C or above, or adult Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to learning for infant age children, including leading learning with groups and individuals, and respond to the needs of children, with support and direction from the teacher.
• Demonstrate ability to work with a range of abilities and SEND pupils, as evidenced in your personal statement on your application form.
