Brightwork Ltd is recruiting for Term Time Cleaners & Catering Assistants to work across the West End of Glasgow on a temporary basis, with a strong chance of permanency for the right workers.

Applicants should be PVG-cleared or willing to apply; training is provided. The role involves cleaning classrooms, kitchens, and bathrooms, plus other routine tasks and stock checks. Competitive hourly rate paid weekly, with opportunities for progression.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Use cleaning tools and products safely and responsibly.
• Empty bins and manage waste following guidelines.
• Refill cleaning supplies and alert supervisor when stock runs low.
• Ensure all equipment is stored safely after use.
• Report safety hazards or maintenance issues.
• Follow schedules and complete tasks within allotted time.
• Work as part of a team or independently depending on location.
• Maintain hygiene standards in line with guidelines.

Term Time Cleaners & Catering Assistants - West End

Brightwork are recruiting for Term Time Cleaners & Catering Assistants to work across the West End of Glasgow.

Joining initially on a temporary basis, there may be a strong chance of permanency for the right workers.

Please note, that due to the regulated nature of these working environments, the successful candidates will be required to have a current PVG membership or be willing to apply for membership. Any PVG applications or updates would be payable by the successful candidate.

The successful candidates will support with a number of duties including:

• Clean and maintain designated areas, including floors, bathrooms, kitchens, offices, and classrooms.
• Use cleaning tools and products safely and responsibly.
• Empty bins and manage waste following guidelines
• Refill cleaning supplies and alert supervisor when stock runs low.
• Ensure all equipment is stored safely after use.
• Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues.
• Follow schedules and complete tasks within allotted time.
• Work as part of a team or independently, depending on the location.
• Maintain good hygiene and cleanliness standards in line with guidelines

Assit

Experience within a cleaning or catering role is beneficial but not necessary as full training will be provided. However, a recent Food Safety Level 2 certificate would be advantageous.

The successful candidates will:

• Have excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
• Have a friendly manner and be confident interacting with school/nursery children and staff
• Have a basic understanding of food and personal hygiene standards

In return, you will have the opportunity to gain experience within a prestigious organisation with the strong possibility of a permanent role following review. You will receive a competitive hourly rate which is higher than the Scottish Living Wage which is paid weekly initially.
