Job summary

Murphy is hiring a Tender Planner to support Transportation projects out of Golborne, with some travel to sites as required. This role focuses on pre-construction and tender planning for major infrastructure work and integrates commercial interfaces with the planning function.

Candidates should have experience with planning software (P6, Asta, TILOS, QSRA) and be able to communicate complex information clearly for bid and delivery stages.

Qualifications

• Experience on pre-construction/tender planning for infrastructure schemes.
• Desirable experience on Network Rail schemes or major infrastructure projects.
• Solid understanding of commercial and contractual interfaces with planning.
• Proficient in planning software and communicating progress

Responsibilities

• Assimilate information and summarise it for work scope communication.
• Prepare a resourced programme and review conformance with expectations.
• Contribute to the risk register and undertake programme risk analysis.
• Prepare visual material in support of planned methods.
• Define methods and outputs with estimator and team, including supply chain.
• Provide the estimator with a justified schedule of temporary works.
• Attend bid review meetings to outline work scope and delivery approach.
• Advise project team of feedback reports and support as needed.

Murphy is recruiting for a Tender Plannerto work with Transportation out of Golborne, with some travel to sites as required

A day in the life of a Murphy Tender Planner:

• Assimilate information and summarise it in a manner that can be used to communicate the work scope to others.
• Prepare a resourced programme, including reviewing the outcome for conformance with expectations and requirements.
• Contribute to the risk register and undertake programme risk analysis.
• Prepare visual material in support of planned methods.
• Define methods and establish outputs, in consultation with the estimator and other team members, including the supply chain in appropriate circumstances.
• Provide the estimator with a justified schedule of temporary works and other indirect cost items.
• Attend the bid review meeting to contribute a clear view of the work scope and the intentions for delivering it by reference to prepared material.
• In consultation with Estimator advise project team of required feedback reports and support.

• Must have previous pre construction/ tender planning experience
• Use of planning software (P6, Asta, TILOS, QSRA).
• Active experience of working with a wide range of planning techniques in serving both tendering and contract delivery.
• A clear understanding of the commercial and contractual interfaces with the planning function.
