Job summary

Construction is seeking a Temporary Works Engineer to support the Piccadilly Line Upgrade in London. The role focuses on temporary works coordination, construction assurance and technical support throughout the project lifecycle.

You will provide site-based engineering support, review submissions, and assist QA activities while applying experience across civil assets including steel, concrete, buildings and earthworks. Membership of a recognised professional institution is preferred.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as Temporary Works Coordinator.
• Strong civil engineering site experience across steel, concrete, buildings and earthworks.
• Experience supporting construction assurance, inspections, technical reviews or site-based engineering delivery.
• Experience working within complex construction or infrastructure environments.
• Membership of a recognised professional institution or equivalent demonstrable experience.

Are you a Temporary Works Engineer with experience working directly for the client on rail based projects?

Location: London

Project: Piccadilly Line Upgrade

Rate: £300 - £388.10 PAYE per day or £500 - £529 Umbrella

As a Senior Engineer, you will support the delivery of the Piccadilly Line Upgrade by providing construction engineering expertise across civil engineering works. The role focuses on temporary works coordination, construction assurance and technical support throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with required standards.

You will provide site-based engineering support, review technical submissions, support quality assurance activities and apply your experience across a range of civil engineering assets including steel, concrete, buildings and earthworks.

Essential experience

You will need:

• Significant experience working as a Temporary Works Coordinator.
• Strong civil engineering site experience across a range of asset types, including steel, concrete, buildings and earthworks.
• Experience supporting construction assurance, inspections, technical reviews or site-based engineering delivery.
• Experience working within complex construction or infrastructure environments.
• Membership of a recognised professional institution or equivalent demonstrable experience.

Desirable

• Railway infrastructure experience.
• CSCS card.
• SMSTS qualification.
• Experience managing design submissions entering site.
