CNC Recruitment are looking for compassionate, reliable temporary Care Workers to join our Client over the busy Christmas period. You'll be supporting adults with autism and/or learning disabilities, helping them enjoy a safe, happy, and meaningful festive season while maintaining the high standard the care home is known for.

Main Purpose of the Role
To provide flexible, person‑centred care and support to residents within a residential care home setting, promoting dignity, independence, and wellbeing through the festive season.
Key Responsibilities
- Support & Personal Care: Provide day‑to‑day care and emotional support to residents.
- Assist with personal care needs including washing, dressing, and mobility.
- Encourage residents to participate in festive activities and routines.
- Maintain confidentiality and safeguard residents at all times.
- Support residents with daily living tasks such as eating, drinking, and maintaining personal hygiene.
- Encourage participation in Christmas events, crafts, and social activities within the home.
- Promote dignity, equality, and inclusion in all interactions.
- Carry out sleep‑in shifts (22:00-08:30) when required to ensure continuous care and safety overnight.
- Remain available to respond to any incidents or emergencies during the night.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in line with infection control and health & safety standards.
- Report any concerns or hazards immediately to the Home Manager.
- Work collaboratively with the care team to provide a consistent, supportive environment.
- Keep accurate daily notes and communicate clearly with colleagues at shift handovers.
- Uphold the values and standards of the Care Home at all times.
Person Specification
Essential:
- A caring, patient, and positive attitude.
- Reliable and flexible – able to work during the festive period.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to attend brief training or induction prior to starting.
Desirable:
- Previous experience working in a care, support, or healthcare setting.
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
- Knowledge of autism and learning disabilities.
- DBS Check is advantageous, but can be provided.
