A charity organization based in St Albans is looking for a Temporary Shop Manager to lead shop operations. As Temporary Shop Manager of Scope's St Albans shop you will have autonomy to run your shop using your creativity and flair. Every day will bring new challenges – from generating and processing stock, designing eye‑catching window displays, to recruiting and training our wonderful volunteers. Your experience in retail and a positive, learning‑oriented attitude will be essential.
Daily responsibilities include: managing day‑to‑day shop operations, handling stock and visual merchandising, engaging the local community, recruiting and training volunteers, and ensuring customers receive excellent service.
Our shops are the face of our retail brand, run by a dedicated, creative and passionate team of superstars. We focus on sustainable fashion, engage local communities, and lead volunteers to deliver a great colleague and customer experience, raising funds for an equal future for disabled people and their families.
Scope Charity Shops are open every day, so weekend and bank holiday cover is required. Full‑time hours are 35 a week, working five days out of seven. Part‑time vacancies follow a seven‑day rota.
