Trial Balance Consulting are engaged by a well-established Plymouth-based organisation to recruit a Senior Finance Officer for a 3-month temporary contract. This hands-on role suits an experienced finance professional with strong ledger skills and the confidence to support a busy operational finance team during a key period.

On-site in Plymouth and reporting to the Finance Manager, the Senior Finance Officer will lead financial processing and robust accounting records.

• Overseeing sales and purchase ledgers, including invoice processing, receipts and supplier payments.
• Managing credit control and aged debtor reporting, assisting in the collection of outstanding income.
• Posting bank transactions and completing bank and holding account reconciliations.
• Supervising Finance Assistants and providing cover across day-to-day finance operations.
• Managing petty cash and weekly banking routines.
• Processing payments both in person and over the phone.
• Maintaining spreadsheets and internal financial reporting tools.
• Monitoring and correct allocation of restricted funds.
• Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and ad hoc cost analysis.
• Supporting month-end routines including journals, reconciliations and management accounts preparation.

Trial Balance Consulting are delighted to have been engaged by a well-established Plymouth-based organisation, seeking to recruit aSenior Finance Officer to join them fora3-month temporary contract. This is a hands-on and varied opportunity, ideal for an experienced finance professional with strong ledger skills and the confidence to support a busy operational finance team during a key period.
