Job description

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Generalist to assist with payroll operations for approximately 8000 UK employees across multiple locations. This position is responsible for ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant payroll processing. The ideal candidate has experience in a complex, fast paced & high-volume payroll environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Support the Payroll team with day-to-day payroll processing for approximately 8000 employees.
  • Ensure compliance with UK payroll legislation, including PAYE, NIC, pensions auto-enrolment, and statutory payments (SMP, SSP, SPP, etc.)
  • Liaise with various stakeholders in the business relating to payroll activity.
  • Assisting employees with queries
  • Support the UK Reward & Benefits Manager with benefit administration
  • Keep up to date with legal updates, and best practices in payroll operations.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of payroll experience
  • Experience managing high-volume, multi-location payroll operations.
  • Working knowledge of payroll compliance rules.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
