Job summary

Multitask Personnel are recruiting Meter Readers in the Leicester area for a 6-month fixed-term contract with potential to become permanent. You will visit homes and businesses to take meter readings, manage your own schedule, and interact with customers in a professional manner.

Role requires a full UK driving licence (max 6 points), access to your own vehicle, and the ability to pass a basic DBS check. Competitive hourly pay and mileage bonuses are offered.

£13.45 per hour + bonuses + mileage (30.5p per mile)

Multitask Personnel are working with a leading utilities provider to recruit Meter Readers in the Leicester area.

This is initially a 6-month fixed-term contract, with the potential for a permanent opportunity following the initial contract period.

The Role

• Visit homes and businesses to take accurate meter readings

About You

We are looking for reliable, customer-focused people who are comfortable working independently.

You will enjoy being out and about each day, be confident speaking with customers and be able to organise your own workload effectively.

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points
• Access to your own vehicle for work
• Valid MOT where applicable
• Business insurance or willingness to obtain it
• Must live in Leicesteror the surrounding area
• Able to pass a basic DBS check
• Able to provide 5 years of work references

Desirable Experience

• Customer service or field-based experience
• Using mobile apps or handheld devices
• Awareness of GDPR and confidentiality
• Experience managing your own workload
