Blue Arrow is recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Manager to work with our client in Birmingham City Centre.

Based in a busy city centre hotel, your main duties will be:

  • Be responsible for both preventive maintenance and reactive repairs, coordinating with vendors and contractors, and maintaining a safe and functional environment for guests and staff.
  • Ensure the proper functioning of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other building systems through regular checks and timely repairs.
  • Organize and perform repairs and maintenance tasks, including fixing issues in guest rooms, lobbies, and public areas, and manage emergency repairs promptly.
  • Plan and coordinate renovations, upgrades, and routine maintenance to minimize disruption to guests.
  • Implement and enforce health, safety, and fire safety regulations.
  • Manage relationships with outside contractors and service providers, and oversee their work.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance work, inspections, and expenses, and prepare reports for management.
  • Address maintenance-related complaints from guests to ensure their satisfaction.
Required skills and qualifications
  • Proven experience in a maintenance or facilities management role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC) and maintenance techniques.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficiency in budget management and report writing.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Familiarity with maintenance software and systems, such as CMMS, is a plus.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Ability to work flexible hours. A proven record of experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel environment is essential.
Hours of work

5 days from 7 including evenings and weekends.

Immediate start available.

Salary dependant on experience.
