Job summary

RGM Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Traffic Marshal for a temporary site role in Rochester, Kent, from 2nd November 2026 to end of January 2027. You will direct vehicle movements, manage deliveries and ensure pedestrian safety on site.

You must hold a CSCS card and Traffic Marshal ticket, wear PPE, provide references if asked, and have strong communication skills to coordinate with drivers and site personnel.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate clearly with drivers and site personnel.
• Must be punctual, reliable and professional on site.
• Must adhere to health and safety requirements on site.
• Must provide references when requested.

Responsibilities

• Direct and control the safe movement of vehicles on site.
• Manage site access and direct deliveries to correct locations.
• Guide reversing vehicles and assist drivers with safe manoeuvring.
• Ensure pedestrians and vehicles are kept separate where possible.
• Monitor entrances, exits and designated traffic routes.
• Communicate clearly with drivers, contractors and site staff.
• Ensure compliance with traffic management procedures.
• Report any obstructions or hazards on access routes.
• Maintain a safe and tidy site entrance and surrounding areas.
• Follow all site health and safety rules.
• Wear correct PPE at all times on site.
• Report incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions.
• Perform any other reasonable traffic marshal duties.
