Overview

Temp Nanny required for a family in Hexham area between 18th to 26th June (min 4 days).

A family visiting the area are looking for a Nanny to provide support to Mum as the father will be working away. The children will be aged 2 and 6 years, and the family are seeking some ad hoc help during the week days. They are looking for a Nanny who may be able to help with part days of care across both weeks. Ideally Tuesday and Thursday during the first week (18th & 20th of June) and then Monday, Wednesday (24th & 26th of June) in the second. The family can be flexible if 2 days together is preferred by Nanny. (eg Tue & Wed, or Wed & Thur the first week and then Mon & Tue or Tue & Wed the second). This would be 4 hours, proposed as 12pm - 4pm but there may be flexibility in time if the Nanny has other availability that suits the family.

Duties
  • having lots of fun and providing age appropriate activities for both or either child in the cottage
  • a mix of shared and sole charge care as required
  • helping with nap times for the two year old and ongoing supervision
  • giving time for mum to run errands locally
  • sole care of the youngest if Mum wants to take the eldest out somewhere
Requirements

The family are open to considering a Nanny with their own child. Nanny must be a driver with their own car due to location.

What we are looking for
  • DBS on Government update service (Tinies can assist)
  • Paediatric First Aid cert in date (Tinies can assist)
  • Recent contactable references
  • Sole charge experience from nanny roles (or good senior qualified leadership experience in nursery / qualified teacher) with references
  • Excellent understanding of young children's learning and development

All new Nannies will have a registration interview to talk through your experience, relevant skills and availability. Applicants will be vetted and background checks completed.

Once registered you will be able to access one off or repeat bookings. There are further opportunities to work in other areas as well once registered as part of our busy nanny service to families, or in early years settings, if desired.
