Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a Finance Assistant in Maidstone to support day-to-day finance tasks and maintain clear, accurate financial records within the Accounting & Finance department.

You will assist with AP/AR ledgers, help implement efficient processes, ensure data integrity and prepare information for audits. The role is based in Maidstone and offers a temporary contract with hourly pay £14–£17 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining accurate financial records.
• Confidence entering and checking financial data.
• Ability to keep documents and information well organised.
• Experience preparing routine finance information for review.
• Clear written and verbal communication when handling finance queries.
• Careful attention to detail when working with figures and records.

Responsibilities

• Assist the AP/AR Supervisor and Group FC with improving the AP/AR system and maintaining ledgers.
• Help to develop automated and efficient processes and systems.
• Maintain databases' integrity and ensure procedural and financial controls are followed.
• Compile information to support internal and external audits.
• Raise sales invoices and process purchase invoices.
