Randstad Education is recruiting a teaching assistant for a SEN school in Cranleigh. No experience is required; the role supports children aged 8-13 in a unique campus with forest schooling, stables, and a pool.

You will join a dedicated team, receive full training and mentoring, and help deliver core subjects while supporting emotional needs and daily living skills. Working hours align with term-time, with a retention bonus and ongoing professional development.

We are searching for a teaching assistant to join our SEN school based in Cranleigh - no experience necessary.

The unique campus features forest schooling, stables, and a pool, and supports children aged 8-13.

Working Hours: Monday 8:30-16:00, Tuesday-Thursday 8:30-16:15, Friday 8:30-15:45

We operate a strict no-sponsorship policy; all applicants must have the permanent right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Help deliver core subjects (PSHE, literacy, numeracy) and essential life skills.
• Support student communication using multi-sensory techniques, Makaton, signs, or specialised aids.
• Provide emotional support to guide self-regulation and help manage anxiety or frustration.
• Work with a dedicated team offering ongoing training, mentoring, and full instruction for personal care duties.

You Must Have

• The ability to interpret information for students with a wide spectrum of ability.

Ideally You Will Have

• Previous experience working in a role supporting students with autism spectrum disorder or within a special educational needs setting.
• Team Teach training, or willing to undergo training before employment begins and refresher training periodically thereafter.
