Overview of the role

The Telesales Manager is responsible for leading and developing the telesales function to drive revenue and volume growth, customer acquisition, and retention through effective phone-based selling. This role oversees telesales strategy, team performance, target achievement, and process optimisation. The position requires strong leadership, commercial acumen, and the ability to motivate and coach a high-performing team to deliver consistent results.

Key responsibilities include setting sales targets, analysing performance metrics, implementing sales scripts and training programs, and collaborating with marketing and field sales to maximise conversion and customer engagement. The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with hands‑on management, ensuring that every call contributes to the company's growth objectives and delivers an exceptional customer experience.

The role represents all Bestway Healthcare Brands: Lexon, Medhub, Wardles and Lexon Specials.

This an office-based role in Redditch

Main Responsibility
Driver of Sales Growth
  • Shape, develop and deliver critical path to growing existing and on boarding new key accounts.
  • Develop and implement effective sales plan to achieve personal and team targets.
  • Identify and capitalize on upselling and new product opportunities (leveraging customer data, deals and new offerings)
  • Manage accounts profitability (P&L) by maximising volume and margin
Customer Service
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to build strong relationships with new and existing accounts.
  • Promote and represent the company's key brands (Lexon, Medhub).
  • Address customer concerns promptly and professionally.
Communication and Collaboration
  • Share relevant market insights with the commercial buying team.
  • Provide accurate and up to date pricing and stock information to customers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful customer experiences.
Key knowledge and skills required
  • Strong understanding of the pharmacy industry, trends and challenges faced by key accounts.
  • Ability to quickly build rapport with senior leaders and account holders.
  • Numerate and a strong proficiency of Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Commitment to ethical and transparent account management.
  • Thrives in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong team player, contributing to achieving team objectives while hitting individual targets.

  • Ability to adapt to a fast‑changing pharmacy wholesale environment.
