Job summary

Emerus seeks an experienced Inpatient Registered Nurse to perform assessment, planning, directing, and evaluation of patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting (PCU/Step-Down/Tele). This full-time day shift role requires strong cardiac skills and teamwork with interdisciplinary teams.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in Telemetry/ICU, an active RN license, BLS/ACLS (PALS preferred), and is fluent in English. PA Act 33/73 clearances or equivalents must be completed before start date.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or Nursing Diploma, required; BSN preferred.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse, without sanctions, required.
• 2+ years RN experience in Telemetry/ICU, or 2+ years in related healthcare positions.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications; PALS preferred (ENPC may substitute for PALS).
• English fluency in written and oral communication.
• Pennsylvania Act 33/Act 73 clearances completed within the last 5 years, or obtained before start date.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize and provide age-specific nursing care using advanced clinical knowledge.
• Follow physician orders in delivery of nursing care.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
• Adhere to infection control and aseptic techniques.
• Collect labs and perform testing per COLA and CLIA rules.
• Handle admissions, discharges and transfers.
• Prepare equipment and assist with procedures in the service area.
• Adhere to hospital policies and nursing standards.
