  • Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel.

Job description

We're looking for a skilled Telematics Technician to join our engineering team and take ownership of installing, maintaining, and supporting the smart systems powering our ground support and plant equipment across the UK.

Responsibilities
  • Installing and commissioning telematics units on a varied fleet of vehicles and equipment.
  • Troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining systems to ensure uptime and reliability.
  • Monitoring performance and alerts through the Targa Telematics platform.
  • Diagnosing technical issues on‑site and getting things back up and running fast.
  • Taking full ownership of installation projects from planning to completion.
  • Training and supporting on‑site teams so everyone knows how to get the most from our systems.
  • Keeping accurate logs of installations, inspections, and maintenance.
  • Travelling to UK sites as needed for installs, upgrades, and system checks.
  • Working safely and in line with airport regulations and company standards (ISO9001, ISO14001, OHSAS18001).
What You'll Bring
  • Solid hands‑on experience in electronics, auto‑electrical, or a similar technical trade.
  • A good grasp of telematics, GPS, and automotive electrical systems.
  • Confidence reading wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • A methodical, problem‑solving mindset.
