Job summary

The Methodist Church in Britain is seeking a telehandler operator for a construction site in the United Kingdom on a full-time basis, 37 hours per week. The role involves moving materials and plant, keeping trades supplied, and performing daily equipment checks.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift or telehandler to move, load and unload materials, plant and equipment across site.
• Keep trades supplied with the right materials at the right time.
• Complete daily equipment checks and report defects promptly.
• Maintain safe, organised storage areas.
• Support site logistics, including traffic management.
• Carry out safe lifting operations in line with method statements and risk assessments.
• Work with site management, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Oversee day-to-day site activity when the Site Manager or Head of Construction is absent.
