Job summary

Cambridge Consultants seeks an experienced Technical Authority to provide senior technical leadership on large, multi-disciplinary Communications engineering programmes. This client-facing role shapes innovative products from concept through delivery.

You will lead and inspire engineering teams across disciplines, collaborate with project managers, and act as a trusted technical partner to clients on programmes typically £10M+ with 15+ engineers and significant engagement.

Qualifications

• Senior technical leader with credible experience in telecoms/communications.
• Led complex multi-disciplinary product or service developments across full lifecycle.
• Strong understanding of product development lifecycles and development methodologies.
• Ability to make sound decisions under pressure and manage technical risk.
• Experience in contractual delivery environments.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end technical solutions from concept to production and client acceptance.
• Manage risk, make decisions under pressure, keep projects on schedule.
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams and mentor engineers to deliver high‑quality work.
• Communicate progress and risks clearly to clients and senior stakeholders.
