Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an innovative Telecoms Solutions Architect to join our client’s team in a hybrid role based in East London. You will translate business needs into technical blueprints, ensuring scalable, reliable and cost-effective telecom systems for enterprise clients.

The role requires 8+ years in telecommunications, strong knowledge of networking, cloud technologies and wireless services, and excellent communication skills to present complex designs to diverse audiences.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field; certifications desirable.
• 8+ years in telecommunications with a focus on solutions architecture or pre-sales.
• Deep knowledge of networking protocols, cloud technologies, wireless services.
• Proven ability to design complex, integrated solutions for enterprise clients.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end telecoms solutions including network architecture and service integration.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering and product management to capture customer requirements.
• Develop detailed technical proposals, diagrams and client presentations.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies, platforms and services.
• Ensure designs meet performance, security and regulatory standards.

You will translate business requirements into technical blueprints, ensuring scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of proposed systems. This position requires a deep understanding of the telecommunications landscape, excellent technical acumen, and the ability to articulate complex designs to both technical and non-technical audiences, driving the adoption of advanced telecom technologies in the Eastern Cape region.

Key Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end telecoms solutions , including network architecture, service integration, and technology selection.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, and product management teams to understand customer requirements and market trends.
• Develop detailed technical proposals, diagrams, and presentations for prospective clients.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies, platforms, and services to enhance solution offerings.
• Ensure solutions are designed to meet performance, security, and compliance standards.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the project lifecycle, from design to implementation.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; relevant certifications are highly desirable.
• 8+ years of experience in telecommunications , with a significant portion in solutions architecture or pre-sales engineering.
• In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, cloud technologies, wireless communication, and various telecom services.
