Job summary

A leading telecoms firm in the UK seeks a Telecoms Design Lead to join their Wireless Telecomms Team. The ideal candidate will produce design solutions, support the design team, and resolve technical issues. A degree in Civil/Structural Engineering and experience with CAD software (preferably AutoCAD) are desirable. This is a long-term role with potential to sit outside of IR35.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering is desirable.
  • Experience using CAD software, preferably AutoCAD or similar.

Responsibilities

  • Produce comprehensive design solutions that meet customer requirements.
  • Ensure high quality design that promotes a 'right first time' approach.
  • Rectify technical design issues preventing project progress.
  • Provide reliable advice on design solutions to team members and customers.
  • Support the Design Team with complex site solutions.
  • Implement best practices in site design.
  • Review Quality Assurance queries and liaise with clients.

Job description

Our client requires a Telecoms Design Lead to join their Wireless Telecomms Team, to work on all aspects of technical site designs for its Key Projects. The role is long term and has the potential to sit outside of IR35.

Typical Deliverables
  • Produce comprehensive design solutions that meet the customer's requirements.
  • Ensure high quality design that meet standards and promote ''right first time'' approach.
  • Rectify technical design issues preventing progress on individual sites/projects.
  • Provide reliable advice on design solutions to other members of the team, the customer and external suppliers.
  • Support the Design Team with complex site solutions and escalations.
  • Implement best practices, compliance and industry standards in site design.
  • Keep up to date with new or revised guidance.
  • Review Quality Assurance queries and liaise with the client to resolve technical issues.
  • Occasionally attend site to carry out surveys or site meetings to discuss design issues.
  • Assist with the production of standard and template drawings as part of a library of details/drawings.
  • Attendance at client review meetings to discuss design solutions.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering - Desirable
  • Experience using CAD software (preferably AutoCAD or similar)
