SP Energy Networks in Glasgow is seeking a Telecoms Asset Strategy Engineer with hybrid working and occasional travel to meetings and sites. You will help shape asset management policies for the Operational Telecoms Network and support robust investment decisions.
You will work with the OT Telecoms Asset Strategy Manager to align with ISO 55000, cyber security and NIS requirements, building data models and business cases for future investments and improvements.

This is an exciting new role within our Network Planning and Regulation team, offering a unique opportunity to shape the future of operational telecoms across our transmission and distribution network.
You’ll play a key role in developing asset management strategies and policies for the SPEN Telecoms Network, ensuring resilient communications services that protect, control, and monitor our transmission and distribution infrastructure.
This position offers excellent development opportunities to build technical expertise in telecoms asset management while contributing to Scotland’s Net Zero goals.
You’ll work closely with the OT Telecoms Asset Strategy Manager to support the development and implementation of telecoms asset policies, standards and long-term investment strategies.
We’re looking for someone with a passion for telecoms, asset management and continuous improvement who can combine technical knowledge with strong analytical and stakeholder management skills.
