Job summary

Double Check Digital Engineering Ltd. in Leigh is seeking a skilled Tekla Draughtsman/Detailer to join the team. You will produce accurate 3D Tekla models and fabrication/erection drawings for structural steel projects, ensuring precision and adherence to standards.

Working closely with engineers and fabricators, you will manage revisions, support clash detection, and maintain drawing registers while contributing to ISO 9001 quality control across projects.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Tekla Draughtsman/Detailer in steelwork or construction.
• Proficient in Tekla Structures (essential).
• Strong understanding of structural detailing standards and fabrication processes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering and architectural drawings.
• Good working knowledge of Grasshopper (desirable).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed 3D models using Tekla Structures for structural steel projects.
• Generate GA drawings, fabrication drawings, and erection drawings.
• Interpret architectural and engineering drawings/specifications accurately.
• Liaise with engineers, project managers, and fabricators to resolve design queries.
• Check and coordinate models against structural calculations and site requirements.
• Manage revisions and ensure drawings are kept up to date throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support clash detection and coordination with other trades where required.
• Maintain drawing registers and ensure ISO 9001 quality control standards are met.
