Job summary

Sunblink is seeking a Senior Draughtsman based in Preston with proven Tekla Structures expertise to lead the drawing office. The role focuses on detailed structural steel drawings and mentoring junior team members, supporting projects across residential, commercial and public sectors.

You will work on setting out, connections and architectural metalwork aspects, ensuring high-quality deliverables and efficient collaboration with design teams.

Qualifications

• Solid experience using Tekla Structures for structural drawings.
• Experience with structural steel and architectural metalwork projects.
• Setting out and connections experience.
• Ability to guide and mentor junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the draughting team.
• Produce Tekla models and shop drawings for projects.
• Support project teams across sectors including residential, commercial, healthcare, leisure and education.

Role: Senior Draughtsman
Location: Preston
Salary: 40,000 - 55,000 DOE

Our client are a structural steel design and build specialist located in the Lancashire area.
Providing solutions to a range of industries, including residential, commercial, healthcare, leisure, and education sectors.

Due to continued success, the team are looking to expand their already thriving drawing office with a senior Draughtsman.

The Candidate:

• Solid and proven experience using Tekla structures
• Structural steel, Architectural metalwork project experience
• Experience with Setting out and Connections.
• Happy to guide and mentor junior team members.
