Job summary

UKCIL Ltd is looking for two warm and patient Care Assistants to support a charming young man in his family home in Southport. This long-term position offers £20 per hour for 20–25 hours per week, with full training provided.

You will engage with him through various communication methods, providing the essential support he needs. Ideal candidates will have experience with learning disabilities and a genuine compassion for young people.

This role is in-person, requiring calm and kind individuals who are committed to offering consistent support.

Qualifications

• Experience with learning disabilities and complex needs is essential.
• Background in mental health nursing, general nursing, children's residential care, support work or social work is a bonus.
• Makaton knowledge helpful but full training given.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent, compassionate support to a teenager with complex health needs.
• Engage with the young person using sounds, PECS, and Makaton.
• Assist in daily activities within the family home.
