Job Title: Technology Technician

Teacher Location: Durham

Start Date: October 2025

Salary: 110- 140 per day (depending on experience)

Empowering Learning are seeking a Technology Technician to work in a Secondary School based in Durham. The role is set to start in September and would be running for the full academic year and could turn into a permanent opportunity for the right Technology Technician.

Position Details:

  • Role: Technology Technician
  • Contract Type: 1 year Temporary (with potential for permanent placement)
  • Start Date: October 2025

Duties:

  • Supervise pupils in and out of lessons, for example clubs and after school activities.
  • Prepare the use of specialist equipment and resources.
  • Manage and monitor stock and supplies and catalogue when required.
  • Create a productive working environment.
  • Maintain student records.
  • Create feedback for pupils that relates to their progress and achievements.
  • Invigilate exams and conduct routine marking of work.
  • Maintain a safe, organised and hygienic environment for all pupils.

Responsibilities:

  • Be aware of policies and procedures that relate to child protection, health and safety and security of students.
  • Contribute to the overall work and ethos of the school.
  • Work alongside other professionals and support the classroom.
  • Be apart of training and learning activities.
