A major transport services provider is seeking a Technology Technician in Dartford. This role involves maintaining vital technology systems on the M25 motorway. We now have an exciting opportunity to join our Connect Plus Services (CPS) team as a Technology Technician, based in Dartford.
In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of maintaining and repairing vital technology on the M25 — one of the UK’s busiest and most important roads. From CCTV and emergency telephones to message signs, signals and traffic detection systems, you’ll work hands-on with the infrastructure that keeps millions of journeys running smoothly and safely.

What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you’ll be part of a team dedicated to keeping vital technology across the network safe, reliable, and performing at its best. Your work will be varied, hands-on, and rewarding, giving you the opportunity to make a real impact every day.
You will:
Always work with safety front of mind, following our Zero Harm process.
Deliver a customer-focused and commercially aware approach to every task.
Ensure systems are maintained and repaired efficiently, meeting all contractual timescales.
Accurately capture and input data into NH Service Now to keep records reliable.
Attend faults, knockdowns, and reactive maintenance issues, reinstating sites, cables, and equipment when needed.
Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, including participation in the shift and on-call rota.
Take responsibility for ensuring all faults and planned works are completed on time.
Manage employer’s stores, ensuring stock is booked in and out correctly.
Help maintain the communications infrastructure to agreed standards.
Record and escalate any health and safety concerns to your line manager promptly.
Use your time and vehicle efficiently while working across the network.

Recognised qualification or apprenticeship in Electronics or Technology
Comfortable with IT systems and digital tools
Ideally holds (or is willing to train for):
MEWPs certification
NHSS8 (National Highway Sector Scheme 8)
Traffic Management
Confined Spaces entry
CSCS Safety Card
