Job description

As the Application Owner within the Technology Support III - Application Owner - GLCM Postings team, you are responsible for the end-to-end management, performance, and lifecycle of assigned business applications.

Job Responsibilities
  • Own the full lifecycle of assigned applications, from deployment to retirement.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for application-related issues, enhancements, and support.
  • Oversee application performance, availability, and reliability, proactively addressing issues and optimizing operations.
  • Manage upgrades, patches, and releases in collaboration with development and infrastructure teams.
  • Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and organizational standards.
  • Implement and monitor software risk and controls, ensuring applications adhere to internal and external risk management policies.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and control reviews, remediating identified gaps.
  • Plan and execute disaster recovery and business continuity strategies for applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, security, risk, business, vendors) for seamless application management and control adherence.
  • Be accountable for timely remediation of breaks and exceptions, ensuring root cause analysis and sustainable solutions.
  • Oversee Transaction Lifecycle Management (TLM) processes, ensuring accurate transaction processing, reconciliation, and resolution of breaks.
  • Report and track remediation progress for breaks and TLM exceptions, communicating status to stakeholders and management.
Required qualifications skills & capabilities
  • Experience managing enterprise applications or platforms.
  • Strong understanding of application lifecycle management, ITIL practices, and software risk/control frameworks.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and risk management in software environments.
  • Experience with Transaction Lifecycle Management (TLM) and break remediation processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to coordinate across technical, business, risk, and operations teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Experience with cloud-based applications and modern deployment practices.
  • Knowledge of project management, Agile methodologies, and risk/control frameworks.
