The C4 Apprenticeship Programme
If you are looking for an opportunity to gain work experience and a qualification, then an apprenticeship at Channel 4 might be for you.
Our apprenticeships are full‑time, with four days per week spent working in a C4 department and one day per week completing the formal learning parts of the apprenticeship. You'll spend 60% of your working week in your office base and 40% working from home.
The formal training will consist of workshops, tutorials, webinars, coaching and in some cases residential boot camps. Read more about the qualification below.

Eligibility
  • You must be 18 years old or over at the time the scheme starts to apply. No upper age limit.
  • You'll need to have a Grade C (4) or above in Maths & English GCSE.
  • You cannot have already completed the qualification being offered or a similar one at the same or higher level.

Department Description

The Channel 4 Technology Service Management team ensures user experience is delivered within current contracts, assists users, leads service enhancement, and supports technology roll‑outs with a focus on user experience. The ITSM Change Delivery Team delivers necessary changes to our infrastructure, networks and workplace to ensure a secure, resilient, modern infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support weekly monitoring of project status.
  • Ensure projects adhere to ITSM project management standards.
  • Support documentation management and standardisation.
  • Support internal and wider stakeholder reporting.
  • Facilitate supplier queries on bids and invoices.
  • Highlight escalations and issues to Senior Portfolio Manager.
  • Support purchase requisitions and raise purchase orders.
Essential Experience & Skills
  • Verbal and written communication skills – experience dealing with customers or working as part of a team, writing emails or completed applications.
  • Attention to detail – cashing up on tills or proofreading coursework.
  • Organisation skills and prioritisation – planning events, managing work‑life balance, working while doing coursework/exams.
  • An understanding of and passion for Channel 4’s remit.
  • Confirm you have Maths & English GCSE Grade C (4) or above.
  • Problem‑solving mindset.
  • Organised and able to track actions accurately.
  • Deal with time‑bound activities.
  • Manage challenging stakeholders.
  • Demonstrable planning and time‑management skills.
  • Good understanding of documentation management.
  • Understanding of financial tracking.
  • Willingness to learn project management.
