Job summary

The Wellcome Trust is seeking a Technology Lead, Discovery (Data Linkage and Data Architecture) to drive data strategy and architecture across the Discovery portfolio in the UK. You will lead funding and research initiatives, collaborate with researchers, funders and industry, and shape strategic priorities for data-enabled science and health research in a fast-moving, collaborative environment.

Hybrid working with three days in London offices and two days remote, and a commitment to inclusive

Qualifications

• PhD, MD or equivalent level training in a quantitative, computational, clinical, biological or physical science discipline.
• Experience with health or scientific data in a technical or strategic capacity.
• Deep knowledge of the UK health data landscape and senior stakeholder relations.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop opportunities in data linkage and architecture to support Discovery strategy.
• Lead high-impact data and technology initiatives from concept to delivery.
• Build research collaborations with internal and external partners.
• Represent Wellcome externally and shape strategic priorities in data investments.
• Align priorities across Discovery, Solutions, Equity and Policy teams; manage risks and budgets.
