Technology Implementation Assistant Manager - Tax Technology

Base Location: Glasgow (Hybrid - 2 days per week in office)

The KPMG Tax Technology & Innovation team comprises over 300 technologists providing technology enablement services and solutions across the Tax and Law business. What will you be doing?

The Technology Implementation Assistant Manager will support the adoption and implementation of KPMG’s compliance technology platform across UK and EMA firms. You will drive innovation through automation, analytics, and data‑driven solutions, enabling multinational clients to achieve global tax and accounting compliance more efficiently, accurately, and with greater control. This role offers the opportunity to develop project management skills and gain exposure to large‑scale technology implementations in a supportive team environment.

As part of Global Compliance & Transformation projects, responsibilities include:

  • Assisting senior team members in collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to translate their vision into actionable deliverables and articulate client and business requirements to technical teams.
  • Aiding in the management and delivery of KPMG and third‑party technology solutions for clients, ensuring alignment with user requirements and translating them into effective solutions.
  • Coordinating with senior team members and technical teams across TT& I to build and implement KPMG and third‑party technology solutions.
  • Supporting the delivery of multiple technology projects, including identifying and mitigating project risks and issues.
  • Preparing functional specification documents, technical specification documents, and user manuals with the team.
What will you need to do it?
  • Demonstrable interest or background in tax and reporting technology.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies, concepts, and modern work practices.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders at various levels.
  • Experience supporting projects or solutions delivered using agile methodologies.
  • Exposure to environments focused on technology change implementation.
Skills we'd love to see/Amazing Extras
  • Studying or part‑qualified in Accounting or tax qualifications such as ACCA, ACA, or CTA or an equivalent would give an advantage for this role.
  • An understanding of tax and accounting, prior experience in tax or finance compliance is advantageous.
