Job summary

Wardle Academy, part of Watergrove Trust, is seeking a motivated Technology Teacher to plan and deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4. You will foster practical problem solving, digital design, and physical computing while maintaining safe, inclusive workshops and a supportive learning environment.

You should hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification, with strong knowledge in D&T, Engineering, or CS/IT, and a commitment to safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent secondary teaching qualification.
• Strong subject knowledge in Design & Technology, Engineering, or Computer Science/IT.
• Ability to motivate students with creative, practical learning experiences.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging technology lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Inspire students through practical problem solving, digital design, and physical computing.
• Maintain high standards of workshop safety, digital hygiene, and classroom management.
• Assess student progress effectively, fostering a growth mindset and high achievement.
• Contribute to extra-curricular STEM clubs, competitions, and industry visits.
