Are you interested in using technology to solve real business challenges? Would you like to begin your career in a supportive consultancy environment where you can develop technical expertise, work with experienced colleagues and gain exposure to customers?

Our Technology Consultant Graduate Programme is designed to help you build the technical skills, commercial awareness and consulting experience needed to become a successful IT Consultant.

You’ll join our UK Consultancy & Engineering Practice, a team of more than 250 architects, consultants and engineers who work together to turn technology strategies into successful customer outcomes. By combining expertise across Workplace, Networking & Security, Data Centre & Hybrid Cloud, and Cloud & Applications, we create integrated solutions that address customers’ wider business and technology challenges.

As part of the programme, you’ll follow one of two specialist pathways:

  • Data & AI, within our Cloud & Applications Practice
  • Networking, Security & AI, within our Networking & Security Practice

Whichever pathway you join, you’ll receive structured development, hands-on experience and support from experienced colleagues as you begin building your career in IT consultancy.

What you’ll do

You’ll work alongside experienced consultants, engineers and wider business teams to understand customer requirements and help develop practical technology solutions.

Data & AI pathway

Within our Cloud & Applications Practice, you’ll help customers use data, artificial intelligence and modern technology to improve the way they operate. You could:

  • Explore, clean and prepare data for analysis
  • Support data reconciliation and the development of data pipelines
  • Work with artificial intelligence and machine learning models
  • Help build model features and streamlined business workflows
  • Interpret analytical results and present findings through spreadsheets, visualisation tools, presentations and customer meetings

Networking, Security & AI pathway

Within our Networking & Security Practice, you’ll help customers develop modern, secure and resilient technology environments. You could:

  • Support the design and deployment of automated networking workflows
  • Gain experience with tools such as Python, Ansible and network APIs
  • Work with networking and security automation
  • Use analytics and telemetry to monitor performance, identify anomalies and help prevent outages
  • Develop experience across routing, switching, software‑defined networking and multi‑cloud environments, including AWS and Azure
  • Interpret technical information and present findings using visualisation tools, presentations and customer meetings

Across both pathways, you’ll also have opportunities to:

  • Work alongside experienced Technical Consultants on customer projects
  • Build your consulting, communication and presentation skills
  • Develop your strategic thinking and commercial awareness
  • Collaborate with colleagues across Sales, Projects, Consultancy and Engineering
  • Gain exposure to a global corporate environment and senior stakeholders
  • Receive support from a dedicated mentor and buddy throughout the programme and beyond
  • Work towards industry‑recognised qualifications and certifications
  • Connect with our wider Early Careers community, building your network and getting involved in initiatives across the business
  • Develop towards a long‑term career within Computacenter, with the opportunity to move into an IT Expert role following successful completion of the programme
What you’ll need

We’re looking for enthusiastic graduates who are interested in technology and motivated to develop a career in IT consultancy.

You’ll need:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related subject, with relevant content aligned to one of the pathways
  • The confidence to contribute your own ideas, take initiative and be a self‑starter
  • A collaborative approach, with a focus on best practice and delivering high‑quality work
  • A growth mindset, willingness to learn and the drive to keep developing throughout the programme
  • A proactive and motivated approach, with the ability to manage your time and balance different priorities
  • An analytical and methodical approach to problem‑solving, with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to build relationships with different people, communicate effectively and have the curiosity to ask questions
  • A strong work ethic and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, customer‑facing environment
  • An interest in working with new technologies and understanding how they can support customers’ objectives
  • Availability to begin the programme in September 2027
